I highly recommend buying this hammock for your little critter. I typically use towels because they are easier to wash and thought this may work because 1) it may be more comfortable to lay on than a towel on the floor and 2) if she can’t stand in it, she might not pee in her bed. It worked perfectly (read as: the cat loved it) and I only got rid of it once it started to get dirty. I purchased another hammock on Amazon and it broke after less than two months of use – the clasps were small and flimsy. So I have just purchased this hammock again for a second time. It is soft and cozy and holds the weight of my 15 lb adult cat. One of our cats loves sleeping in the garage. So now we’re setting up the second hammock inside the house in a room this cat sleeps in usually. This hammock has given the kitten a second level, which it loves! I found the warnings the seller placed in this description to be oh-so-true…the hammocks that were shipped directly from China fell apart (the straps separated from the body of the hammock because they were not securely sewn either the first time a cat sat in one, or even when I was installing the hammock in a cage. Update Nov 2016: Our rescue continues to use these hammocks, and they have held up to big cats, many trips through the washing machine, and all the abuse playful litters of kittens can wreak.
